Tawasentha Park | Hailie + Patrick

Hailie and Patrick met me at Tawasentha Park in Guilderland one mid-summer evening for a relaxed couples session with a loose, picnic-in-the-park kind of feel. The park has this perfectly overgrown quality to it, long mowed paths flanked by tall grass and greenery that give it a natural, unhurried look. It can be a tricky spot to time just right, but catch it on the right evening when the weather cooperates and the park is groomed well, and it becomes this quietly beautiful, semi-private setting that's hard to beat.

We were tucked a little lower on the hill, so the light shifted faster than it might have higher up. It stayed warm and soft throughout, with a cooler tone that kept everything feeling easy and natural rather than overly dramatic. Hailie and Patrick had a genuinely cute and sincere connection that came through naturally once we settled in, and the photos reflect that.

Tawasentha Park is one of those underrated spots in Guilderland, NY that works really well for outdoor couples photography in the Capital Region. If you're nearby in Albany, Schenectady, or anywhere in between, it's worth knowing about.
